Steakhouse dinner at home {it's easier than you think...}

It’s easy to slip into the mindset that healthy food needs to be boring, bland or tasteless. STOP RIGHT THERE! That’s just not the case. I will be sharing with you my favorite recipes that will always be easier than you think.

Starting with a steakhouse dinner at home, for 2! Here’s what you need…

2 steaks (I used frozen ribeyes from Butcher Box. Not a member? Join HERE)

1 leftover baked potato

1 bag of green beans

Ghee

Salt

Garlic Powder

The New Primal Classic Steak seasoning (buy it HERE and use code RACHELWAVES15 to save 15% on your order)

I started by defrosting the steaks on the counter for about 2 hours. If you are planning on this meal a few days in advance, you could defrost the steaks in the fridge… I don’t always plan in advance enough for that!

Next up, preheat your oven to 450.

Green beans go on a cookie sheet, cover in your cooking oil of choice (I use EVOO), salt and garlic powder to taste. Pop those in the oven for about 20-30 minutes. We love our green beans a little burnt, so I tend to leave them in a bit longer.

Next up, get a frying pan heating up on the stove over medium to medium high heat. While it’s warming up, get your steaks out on paper towels to dry them off a bit. Once dry, cover one side in salt and garlic powder and the other side in the new primal classic steak seasoning. Once the pan is warm add a scoop of ghee (think, small tablespoon size). Once melted into the pan, the steaks go in for roughly 4-5 minutes per side. Depending on the thickness of the steaks and the level of doneness you prefer the time here can change. Let your steaks rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.

While all that is going on, let’s get to that leftover baked potato. Now, I ALWAYS have leftover baked potatoes in the oven and would strongly suggest you add this into your meal prep routine. This is one of my all time favorite sides to any meal. Take the potato and slice it thinly (1/2” slices). Toss them in some salt and garlic powder, add some pepper if you like a bit of a kick. You’ll need a second frying pan, warming up over medium heat. Once that pan is warm add ~1 tablespoon of ghee. Fry the potatoes in this pan for about 7-10 minutes per side.

All you have left to do is plate and enjoy!
